PMP & CAPM Study Guide

A unified prep path through PMI's framework.

1. Exam overview

PMP: 180 questions, 230 minutes, blended predictive/agile/hybrid content based on the PMP Exam Content Outline (People 42%, Process 50%, Business Environment 8%).

CAPM: 150 questions, 3 hours, covering Project Management Fundamentals, Predictive Methodologies, Agile Frameworks, and Business Analysis Frameworks.

Both are computer-based, available online-proctored or in test centers.

2. Eligibility & application

PMP requires either a 4-year degree + 36 months of leading projects + 35 contact hours of PM education, or a high school diploma + 60 months leading projects + 35 contact hours.

CAPM requires a high school diploma + 23 contact hours of project management education (CAPM prep course satisfies this).

Document your projects clearly: role, dates, deliverables, and hours leading.
